The availability of drinking water was a challenge for us. The residents had to walk long distances, around 3-4 miles to get access to fresh water. The unavailability of electricity meant that electric pumps were not a solution. The implementation of solar pump for deep tube well provided us the access to arsenic, iron and bacteria free water with 24 hours uninterrupted supply. Innovel has provided community water supply system backed by a 2 HP solar power water pump. The water is collected and stored in a 5000 L water tank which makes it available 24x7. This has greatly improved our living conditions and brought us great relief. The absence of electricity made the availability of drinking water scarce. Before installing their Solar Lighting System (SLS), our streets were poorly lit, posing a safety hazard for pedestrians and motorists. The electricity poles were spaced too far apart, making it difficult to see at night.
