At Annadatri Rice Mill, every stage from paddy processing to final output requires consistent energy supply. Rising electricity costs and fluctuating tariffs made it difficult to maintain cost efficiency while ensuring smooth operations.
The need was for a reliable and cost-effective energy solution that could support daily operations without disruption.
The Solution
Innovel implemented a 350 kW solar power system tailored to the mill’s energy consumption patterns.
By using solar energy as a consistent and renewable source, the mill was able to generate its own power and reduce dependence on the grid while maintaining operational stability.
Implementation

Solar panels were installed across the facility to maximise sunlight exposure and energy generation.
Innovel handled the entire process including design, engineering, installation, and commissioning. All work was carried out with minimal impact on ongoing operations.

The Impact

The system generates approximately 4.19 lakh units of electricity annually. This leads to savings of over ₹29 lakhs every year.
The project achieved a payback period of less than 5 years, making it a strong financial investment.
The mill now has greater control over its energy consumption and is less affected by rising electricity costs.
